GIS Workshops
University of Maryland students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend GIS (Geographic Information Systems) workshops provided by the University of Maryland Libraries.
Each session is limited to 25 participants. Each Workshop takes place in one 2 1/2 hour session. Please pick the workshop and time and date that you would like to attend by checking the box that corresponds.

GIS Workshops Descriptions
Workshop 1 Introduction to GIS
Prerequisite: Familiarity with Microsoft Windows.
In this workshop you will learn the basics of what GIS software is and what it can do, in a hands-on environment. You will learn basic symbology and labeling, how to query, and how to create a map layout.
